Bandirran estate sits beside the Sidlaw hills in a beautiful setting in rural Perthshire. The estate combines organic farming, quality shooting and rural properties.

Trading as Culfargie Estate, the inhand farming enterprise covers 3600 acres of Perthshire countryside. The farm produces arable crops of wheat, oats, barley and beans while cattle and sheep graze the upland pastures. We produce oats for Quaker at Cupar, and supply wheat for local feed mills. Our lambs are sold through Highland Glen producers to supply local shops. Our suckler herd is grazed on lush herb-rich spring pastures resulting in healthy animals and flavoursome meat.

Conservation plays a central role in the farming business and we have won several awards for hedgerows and environmental care. An essential element in the preservation of farming is to protect its natural assets - air, soil and water. Watercourses are buffered by grass margins which help to keep water clean as well as providing a rich habitat for wildlife.

Red squirrels, brown hares and grey partridges thrive on the estate. Care is taken to preserve and encourage habitats to suit these species, together with a programme of predator control.
